Lots of new titles added to the store
We've had quite a few boxes and shipments showing up here over the past few
weeks from places near and far, so here's a quick update to let you know about
all of the new stuff that has been added to the online store.

GLACIATION
Patrick O'Hearn
Inspired by the otherworldly beauty of the northern latitudes, and dedicated
to all those who share respectful consideration for its future. Glaciation is
an inspiring, peaceful and sometimes haunting journey that is yet another masterpiece
from Patrick O'Hearn, put on your headphones, turn out the lights, close your
eyes and journey to a magical place.

A WARNING FROM
THE ELDERS
Byron Metcalf
A Warning From The Elders places emphasis on the raw, organic sounds of wood,
skin, metal, clay, stone, and the human voice. Byron’s masterful production
results in a delicious blend of fierce percussion, heart-opening textural voices
and overtone singing – a bold sonic expression of power, purpose, presence
and compassion for the Earth – the Mother of us all.
Rudy Adrian's Starfields:
Sequencer Sketches vol.3 and Par
Avion: Sequencer Sketches 4, both walk the fine line that falls between
atmospheric ambient and classic uptempo Tangerine Dream/Klaus Schulze style
electronic. Do not be misled by the word "sketches" in the titles. There's nothing
unfinished about this music.

Two artists known for their mastery of subtlety and the essence of understatement come together to create a haunting work that blurs the line lying somewhere between darkness and light; between apprehension and calm. Ambient textures of synth and guitar set the stage while occasionally haunting and beautiful Latin vocal phrases act as a beacon that guides the way through the dark and mysterious depths of the soul. ERIK WOLLO - WEST COAST TOUR 2005

Eric Wollo returned to the USA for a very special West Coast tour in August 2005. These were be Erik's first North America shows since the spring of 2002 when he played a handful of dates across the US and Canada, including this wonderful show for The Gathering in Philadelphia. Erik's live performances feature his electric guitar and synth work as found on past albums such as Wind Journey.
Appearing with Erik was be Chapman Stick master Tom Griesgraber, whose solo debut release "A Whisper in the Thunder" launched the Spotted Peccary label imprint O3E Music last year, and legendary drummer Jerry Marotta who has drummed with a who's who of top music stars including Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney, the Indigo Girls, Elvis Costello, John Mayer, Robert Fripp, Hall and Oates, Tears for Fears, 10,000 Maniacs, Sara Mclachlan and many others.
Erik presented his own solo set, as did Griesgraber/Marotta, and they even managed to do some things all together as well. It's a very rare treat to have Erik here in the states, and any opportunity to see three artists of such high caliber is not to be missed. These were wonderful shows, and we thank everyone who came out to support these artists!

A NEW WORLD OF SOUND

In December, New Line Pictures will release THE NEW WORLD, starring
COLIN FARRELL, CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER, and CHRISTIAN BALE, and directed by TERRENCE MALICK (Days Of Heaven, The Thin Red Line). The film, an epic adventure set amid the encounter of European and Native cultures during the founding of the Jamestown Settlement in 1607, transforms one of the most enduring American legends of the past 400 years, that of John Smith and Pocahontas, into a sweeping exploration of love, loss and discovery.
As promotion for THE NEW WORLD began to gear up in May, we were asked
if select tracks from the SPOTTED PECCARY catalog could be used as
musical elements in some of New Line's behind the scenes podcasts. Of
course, as is often the case in the movie biz, projects are constantly
evolving, and before long JON JENKINS had created five new original tracks, and HOWARD GIVENS was mixing and editing a ten minute audio program combining Jenkins' music with vivid sound effects and behind the scenes interviews with cast and crew. This program, produced by CHRIS CUMMINGS, is an audio companion to a beautiful book containing stunning images and information about the making of the film.
A short four minute version of the program has been turned into an
Exclusive Slide Show for New Line's official NEW WORLD website, TheNewWorldMovie.com.
Click here to go the the website, and click on "Features", and then "Behind The Scenes Preview" once you are there.

Spotted Peccary Launches New Record Label

Spotted Peccary Music is proud to announce the launch of its new eclectic imprint O3E, with the release of A Whisper in the Thunder by Chapman Stick master Tom Griesgraber. O3E will diversify the Spotted Peccary offerings to include a new vision of art-based Classical, Jazz, Electronic, and Rock.
Over the past twenty years, Spotted Peccary Music has firmly established itself as a premiere "art" label focused on electronic and acoustic music. It has built a highly acclaimed reputation by continuing to support artists intent on producing artful and meticulously crafted music intended for deeper listening.
O3E continues this esthetic while expanding the genre focus to include material that will be appealing to a wider audience. Spotted Peccary Music label head and founder Howard Givens states, "By expanding our focus to include a fresh new approach to Classical, Jazz, Electronic, and art-Rock, we will offer our listeners a wider range of music and further our commitment to visionary compositions that more completely reflect our views of music art and its interaction in our lives. As with our other imprint, Wanderings, O3E will give us a larger sonic canvas on which to present music that we believe in."
